We start from the rhododendron packed meadows towards the peak which can take anywhere between 40 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the snowfall and time of the year.

Fitness Tips for the Mountains:
The Mountaineer Fitness Plan starts with both training the Mind and Body. It’s a physically difficult task to trek a mountain, but the mindset wins it all in the end and the body will come to the rescue it. Persistence consists of 50% you Mind & 50% your Body.
We at Discovery Hike believe you get in the right shape of mind and body with our SSS Mantra before you come with us on trekking. Whether you’re a starting guy or a Pro. You will be presented with the desired results by an adult or teenager you are pursuing this regiment 10 days before your Trek.
What is the SSS, you ask? It is:
Stamina
Strength
Stretch
Stamina – You will need to particularly enhance your current stamina to a fiercer one to undertake any Trek. You will need spare 30 – 45 Daily for this activity and increase it based on the Trek.
You will need to start with walking 4 km & more gradually. Effectively your goal will be to walk for 4+km a day.
Once you have successfully completed walking, turn this into running/jogging for the same distance. Effectively your goal will be to run 4+ km a day
Strength – Working on Stamina is just not limited to your running. Strength is working on all parts of your body to complement your Stamina for example – Upper Back, Lower Back, Core, Legs, Arms & more.
Upper Body – You will need to go for Push-ups after you have done with your running exercise. You will need to make it 6 – 10 push-ups a day. Repeat the same in sets of 3 daily. Effectively your goal will be to reach 15 – 30 push-ups daily.
Lower Back – Perform a Plank starting with 30 seconds a Day. Add 10 – 15 seconds more daily to improve the strength you add to your core. Effectively your goal will be to perform a Plank for 3 – 5 minutes.

Legs – You’re going to have to start with 5 – 10 squats in 3 sets. Alternatively, in groups of 3, you can also do 5-10 Wall sits-up. Your aim is to perform 15 – 30 squats/sit-ups effectively.
Core – You will need start with crunches of 5 – 10 in sets of 3 and keep adding more towards by the day. This will build not just the core but your Lower back & Stamina too. Effectively your goal will be to reach 30 – 50 squats in a day.
Stretch – Probably the most neglected but the most crucial part of the exercise Stretching. This will encourage all your muscles to remain intact & be activated instead of cramping. It will boost your efficiency in all of the things that you do. Reduce your risk of injury, assist in the movement of your joints and allow the muscles to function at their best.
Shoulder stretches
Wrist stretches
Hamstring stretches
Calf stretches
